The Eltham College Foundation Ltd has many similar characteristics to those required of the foundations of any building; strength, depth and sturdy resolve to support the structure above them. Formed in 1992, the Foundation is an unlisted public company limited by guarantee and a not-for-profit organisation with a singular objective of providing financial support to Eltham College.

In 2002, the Board decided that it would invest in child care centres rather than rely on donations. Having a strong alliance with Eltham College, a proven early years educator, it seemed sensible to extend into the business of education. The Foundation currently operates four Centres under the banner “Little Flyers Learning Centres” and the iconic “Kids on Collins”, while striving to expand both its market share in the child care industry and the support network it draws from.

Whilst focusing on excellence in early year’s education and a level of care expected at home, the Foundation is committed to being the foremost early year’s educator in Melbourne. Our Childcare and Early learning centres are committed to the National Quality Framework established by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority. ACECQA regularly assesses each centre in Australia and we are proud to note that we have been rated as “Meeting” or indeed “Exceeding” National Quality Standards.
